Send Us Your Christmas Truce Poetry!

December, 2004

To our visitors:

This year we are requesting that people contribute to our Christmas Truce pages by exercising their creativity and writing poems related to the Christmas Truce that will be placed in a collection and posted on the website every year. This is similar to what is done at the Football Poets website but your poems do not have to include soccer as a theme.

Your poems can be any form including haiku*. This could be a great project given the time of year, the historical times we live in, and the need to encourage "Mass Refusal" as a means for ordinary people to resist the plans of the ruling elite for perpetual war. Please send your poems to Doug Fuda: dougfuda@aol.com

Teachers, this might make a great project for your students! For those who are technically savvy as well as artistic you're welcome to send your poem as an html page that includes graphics.
