CIRCLES

Oh, there were buses, lots of buses,
there were cars and lots of vans.
There were marchers, lots of marchers
but nothing changed, nothing changed.
You can talk, they like talkers,
you can jump, jump up and down,
you can have signs, so many signs
but nothing changed, nothing changed.
You can go to DC, if it makes you feel good,
get that anger, out in the streets,
march around in circles, march round and round,
but nothing changed, nothing changed.
You can be on TV, in the papers too,
shout "what do we want," "we want it now."
the bosses laugh, they think it's funny
cause nothing changed, nothing changed.
You can be peaceful, they like peaceful,
you can be legal, they like legal,
listen to speakers, with their same old line
but nothing changed, nothing changed.
You can see the capital, see the whitehouse,
see war memorials, that stand like tombstones,
soldiers died, so many died,
but nothing changed, nothing changed.
Something's wrong with, choreographed marches,
something's wrong with, the same old slogans,
something's wrong, when you go home
and nothing changed, nothing changed.
